Heat Shrink Coated Titanium Anode Rod

The heat-shrink-sleeved anode rod is a high-performance electrochemical anode product utilized within Cathodic Protection (CP) systems. Its structure typically centers on a core comprising a titanium-based anode (such as an MMO-coated titanium anode) or a titanium alloy anode rod. Industrial-grade heat-shrinkable insulating protective layers are applied to cover the non-electrochemical working zones and critical connection points. Through this structural design-which integrates a "conductive working zone" with an "insulating protective zone"-the product achieves safer, more stable, and longer-lasting current output.
This product is widely employed in metal corrosion protection systems operating in seawater, soil, and highly corrosive industrial environments.

Working principle of Heat Shrink Coated Titanium Anode Rod

In a cathodic protection system, the anode rods act as the current release terminals, providing protective current to the metal structure to be protected through the electrolyte environment (seawater/soil).
The core logic of the heat shrink tube design is:
Exposed area = effective electrochemical reaction zone (working zone)
Heat shrink insulation area = fully insulated zone (non-working zone)
Thus achieving:
Concentrated release of current
Reducing ineffective current loss
Lowering side reactions and local corrosion
