Introduction of Iridium Oxide Titanium Mesh

Iridium dioxide anode mesh is a pure titanium base mesh coated with iridium dioxide to achieve the effect of electrolysis.

Iridium oxide is a well-defined iridium oxide with a lattice of rutile structure consisting of six-coordinated iridium and trip-coordinated oxygen. Iridium dioxide and oxides of other rare metals are used in anode electrodes for industrial electrolysis and microelectrodes for electrophysiological research.

Process of Iridium Oxide Titanium Mesh

Titanium substrate treatment: First, the titanium substrate is subjected to alkaline washing, degreasing, acid etching, ultrasonic water washing and drying treatment to obtain a titanium substrate with a rough surface, which enhances the bonding ability of the coating with the substrate.

Precursor solution preparation: Dissolve metal sources such as titanium source, iridium source, and tantalum source in an organic solvent to form a precursor solution suitable for the coating. Different metal source ratios will affect the performance of the coating.

Coating: The prepared precursor solution is evenly coated on the surface of the titanium substrate, which can be applied by brushing, dipping or spraying.

Drying and calcining: The coated substrate needs to be dried and calcined at a certain temperature to form a uniform iridium dioxide coating. The calcination temperature and time need to be strictly controlled to ensure the quality and performance of the coating.

Heat treatment: The coating is heat treated to improve crystallinity and adhesion, usually at 450~600℃.

Quality control: The thickness, uniformity and adhesion of the coating need to be tested during the production process to ensure product quality.

Final inspection: The electrochemical performance of the manufactured iridium dioxide anode mesh is tested to ensure that the requirements of electrolytic water treatment are met.

Packaging: Qualified products will be properly packaged for easy transportation and storage.
