Recently, AutoGuide.com learned from overseas sources that the Bovensiepen Zagato, a model jointly developed by the Alpina founding family and Italian design house Zagato, has officially debuted. Based on the BMW M4 Convertible, the new car is deeply customized, with each unit taking over 250 hours to handcraft. Pricing will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2025, with deliveries beginning in the second quarter of 2026. Its titanium exhaust system is a key lightweighting feature, contributing to the car's impressive 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) performance of 3.3 seconds.

Titanium Exhaust Reduces Weight by 40%

The car's core technological breakthrough lies in the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system at the rear. The entire system weighs only 22 kg, approximately 40% lighter than the stock M4 exhaust. The titanium material not only boasts aerospace-grade strength-to-weight ratio, but also boasts an optimized acoustic signature through precision machining, reducing unsprung mass while maintaining a rich, powerful high-revving sound. Combined with a carbon fiber diffuser and aerodynamic rear wing, it creates a highly efficient exhaust and downforce-enhancing system.

Precise and Controlled Performance Upgrade

The powertrain inherits the BMW S58's 3.0T inline-six engine architecture, retuned by Bovensiepen engineers to boost maximum power to 610 horsepower and peak torque to 700 Nm. The transmission is paired with a reinforced 8-speed automatic transmission. A titanium exhaust system optimizes exhaust efficiency, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reaching a top speed exceeding 300 km/h. The chassis features Bilstein Damptronic three-mode adaptive suspension, achieving a balance between track performance and everyday driving.
